"They will revolutionize the way we check the contents of means of transport, allowing us to carry out faster and more accurate inspections. This technology that uses artificial intelligence will not only strengthen our national security, but will also contribute to increasing efficiency in combating evasion. Once we operationalize all 26 scanners at the 12 most important border points in the country, we will cover over 85% of the flow of customs entries. Along with the implementation of e-invoice, e-seal and the introduction of telemetric information in the e-transport system, we are building a robust ecosystem that will deter any attempt at fraud and smuggling," explained Finance Minister Marcel Boloş.
