OCV Conveyor by Tudor Tech

OCV Conveyor

The OCV is arguably the highest-peforming car and van scanner on the market. Able to reach penetration in steel exceeding 60 mm and a very low dose for vehicle occupants and sub-milimeter resolution, it is the ideal solution for critical infrastructure checkpoints. All internal electronics are climatised and have proven their repliability in some of the toughest environments from northern latitudes to the Persian Gulf.

Depending on the location of installation and in case scanning of occupied vehicles is not allowed, the OCV is supplied with a conveyor system and a special material platform. Developed by our engineering team, it is not just a means of moving the target vehicle through the scanning frame. The imaging system and software are calibrated in such a manner that the platform is not visible in the radiography, providing the image analyst with a clear view of the x-ray, without overlapping elements.

In drive-through mode, the system is capable to achieve a throughput exceeding 300 vehicles per hour and at for such increased throughputs we have developed an operator multiplexing software feature which automatically assigns x-ray images to multiple operators for best efficiency. Similar to all our scanning solutions, the OCV seamelessly integrates with advanced systems such as LPR and under-vehicle inspection or external databases and centralised management platforms. For temporary installations, the OCV-M provides similar levels of performance, needs minutes for deployment and is mounted on a lightweight chassis that incorporates the operator workspace as well.

FAQ

frequently asked questions

Yes. The system is specifically designed to scan vehicles with passengers or drivers inside, without requiring them to exit the vehicle – provided that local legislation permits the scanning of persons. Regulations vary by country: some allow it, others do not.

Absolutely. The scanners use low-dose X-ray technology that is internationally certified and completely safe for occupants, operators, and the environment - provided that local legislation permits the scanning of persons. Regulations vary by country: some allow it, others do not. Radiation exposure levels are well below international safety limits.

A full scan of an occupied car or van takes only a few seconds, ensuring fast throughput at border crossings, checkpoints, and high-security facilities.

The scanners reliably detect weapons, explosives, drugs, contraband , and hidden compartments inside the vehicle, ensuring a thorough and accurate inspection.

They are widely deployed at border crossings, airports, government facilities, embassies, and critical infrastructure sites , where both security and passenger comfort are essential.
